Industries We Serve
Diamond, gold, and gemstone retailers require display cases that render colors accurately, minimize reflections, and provide layered security. We build cases for independent jewelers and national brands across the DMV.
Museum collections demand conservation-grade UV protection, climate-sealed enclosures, and tamper-resistant security. Our museum-quality vitrines meet the standards of the Smithsonian Institution and similar collecting institutions.
Watch display cases require precise LED color temperature control to present timepieces accurately. We build both countertop and wall-mounted configurations for authorized dealers and independent watch boutiques.
Auction houses need versatile display cases that can be reconfigured for changing inventory. Modular case systems with interchangeable shelving, adjustable lighting, and portable configurations serve this market.
Display Case Types
Standard and custom countertop jewelry display cases for retail stores. Glass tops and fronts allow customers to view merchandise from multiple angles.
Precision-fabricated glass vitrines for museums, galleries, and high-value private collections.
Tall, four-sided glass tower display cases that showcase jewelry at eye level from every direction.
Glass-fronted display cases that mount flush against walls, saving floor space while maximizing display capacity.
Glass Technology
The glass in a jewelry display case is not just a barrier -- it is an optical system engineered for maximum clarity, color accuracy, and protection.
Standard float glass has an iron content that produces a visible green tint at the edges and subtly distorts colors. Low-iron glass removes this tint, producing a crystal-clear panel that renders gemstone colors and metal finishes with perfect accuracy.
Multi-layer anti-reflective coating reduces surface reflection from approximately 8 percent to under 1 percent per surface. Jewelry behind AR-coated glass appears as if there is no glass present -- customers see the merchandise, not their own reflection.
All display case glass is tempered for safety and security. Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger than standard glass and resists accidental impacts. If broken, it shatters into small granules rather than dangerous shards, protecting staff and customers.
For high-value displays, laminated glass bonds two glass layers with a tough interlayer that holds the glass together when broken. Laminated glass resists smash-and-grab attempts by preventing access even after the glass is cracked. UL 972 rated options available.
UV-filtering glass and interlayers block 99+ percent of ultraviolet radiation that degrades colored gemstones, pearls, and organic materials over time. Essential for museum collections and long-term retail displays where pieces remain on show for extended periods.
Hardened surface coatings resist the surface scratches that accumulate from daily cleaning and handling in retail environments. Scratch-resistant glass maintains optical clarity over years of use, reducing replacement frequency and maintenance costs.
Lighting Integration
Integrated LED lighting transforms a glass case from a container into a stage. Precision lighting makes gemstones sparkle and metals glow.
Concealed LED strips along the inside top edge of the display case provide downward illumination that highlights jewelry surfaces, facets, and metallic finishes. Color temperature options range from warm white (3000K for gold) to cool white (5000K for diamonds and silver).
LED strips embedded in the glass shelf edges produce a dramatic edge-lit glow that outlines each shelf level. Light travels through the glass and illuminates pieces from below, creating depth and drama in the display. Particularly effective for transparent and translucent gemstones.
Miniature LED spotlights mounted in the case top or frame direct focused beams onto specific pieces. Adjustable spots allow you to highlight featured items, new arrivals, or high-value centerpieces within a larger display case arrangement.
Adjustable color temperature LED systems allow you to tune the light from warm (2700K) to daylight (6500K) to match different jewelry types. Warm light flatters gold and warm-toned gems, while cool light maximizes the brilliance of diamonds, white metals, and colorless stones.
Security
Jewelry display cases must balance total transparency with total security. We engineer both into every case we build.
Tempered glass display panels are 4-5 times stronger than standard glass and resist accidental impacts from customers, staff, and cleaning equipment. The strength of tempered glass provides a meaningful delay against smash-and-grab attempts compared to standard annealed glass.
For high-value displays, laminated glass bonds two glass layers with a tough PVB or SGP interlayer. When broken, the interlayer holds the glass together, preventing access to the case contents. UL 972 rated laminated glass provides certified burglary resistance.
Display cases are available with keyed cylinder locks, electronic locks with audit trails, biometric fingerprint locks, and magnetic locks controlled by a central security system. Lock type is selected based on the value of the displayed merchandise and the security protocol of the business.
Glass display cases can be wired for alarm sensor integration including glass-break sensors, vibration sensors, and contact switches on doors and sliding panels. These sensors connect to the building alarm system and trigger alerts when the case is tampered with after hours.
Display case frames are constructed from welded steel or extruded aluminum with reinforced corners and concealed fasteners. The frame resists prying and twisting attempts that could separate glass panels from their mountings during a break-in attempt.
High-value display cases include discreet cable ports that allow individual pieces to be secured with retractable cables or tethers. Cable ports are hidden within the case design so they do not detract from the display presentation.
How We Work
We visit your retail space, museum, or collection room to assess layout, measure dimensions, and discuss display requirements.
We design the display case configuration including glass type, frame material, LED lighting layout, lock systems, and shelf arrangements.
Glass panels are cut, tempered, and coated. Frames are fabricated in the specified material and finish. LED systems are assembled and tested.
Display cases are delivered and installed on-site with minimal disruption to your operation. We level, secure, and connect LED lighting.
Maintenance
Anti-reflective coated glass requires non-abrasive cleaners and microfiber cloths. Standard glass cleaners with ammonia can degrade AR coatings over time. We provide a cleaning guide with recommended products for every display case we install.
LED strips in display cases are rated for 50,000+ hours of operation. When replacement is eventually needed, our LED systems are designed for easy access and swap-out without disassembling the glass case. We stock replacement LED strips for all systems we install.
Keyed cylinder locks require periodic lubrication with graphite powder. Electronic locks need battery replacement on a regular schedule. We provide a maintenance schedule with every installation and offer annual maintenance service contracts for retail clients.
Scratched or damaged glass panels can be replaced individually without removing the entire display case. We keep detailed records of every case we build, including glass dimensions and specifications, enabling fast replacement fabrication when needed.
