We cut virtually every glass type: clear float, low-iron (ultra-clear), tinted (bronze, gray, green, blue), frosted, patterned, mirrored, laminated safety glass, and annealed glass for tempering. We stock thicknesses from 1/8 inch to 3/4 inch and can source specialty glass for unique project requirements.

Measure the opening width and height at three points each -- top, middle, and bottom for width, and left, center, and right for height. Use the smallest measurement and subtract 1/8 inch for clearance on each side. For irregular shapes, create a cardboard or paper template of the exact opening. If your project is complex or precision is critical, we offer on-site measuring by our technicians who use laser measurement tools for accuracy within 1/32 inch.

Yes. We can match existing glass by type, thickness, tint, texture, and coating. Bring in a sample or a broken piece and we will identify the glass and cut a replacement to the exact same specifications. For insulated glass units, we match the overall thickness, spacer bar width, gas fill, and any Low-E coatings to maintain energy performance. For older or discontinued patterns, we source from specialty suppliers to find the closest match available.

Standard annealed glass cuts are often ready the same day or next business day. Tempered glass requires three to five business days due to the heat-treatment process. Laminated glass and specialty orders may take one to two weeks depending on the configuration. Rush service is available for urgent projects at an additional fee.

We fabricate tempered glass to custom sizes, but the cutting must happen before the tempering process. Tempered glass cannot be cut, drilled, or modified after heat treatment -- any attempt will cause it to shatter into small fragments. We cut, drill, notch, and finish all edges first, then send the piece through our tempering oven. The result is safety-rated glass that is four to five times stronger than standard annealed glass, custom sized to your exact specifications.

Yes. We cut glass into circles, ovals, arches, half-rounds, quarter-rounds, hexagons, octagons, trapezoids, and freeform shapes. Complex shapes are cut using CNC waterjet equipment for precision curves and tight tolerances. You can provide a template, a drawing with dimensions, or we can measure on-site for complex projects. Custom shapes are available in all glass types and can be tempered after cutting.

We stock and cut glass in six standard thicknesses: 1/8 inch (3mm) for picture frames and small panels, 3/16 inch (5mm) for standard windows and cabinet doors, 1/4 inch (6mm) for desk protectors and shelving, 3/8 inch (10mm) for tabletops and heavy-duty shelves, 1/2 inch (12mm) for large tabletops and structural panels, and 3/4 inch (19mm) for heavy-duty commercial applications. Thickness availability varies by glass type, and our team will recommend the appropriate thickness based on your application, span, and load requirements.

We offer five standard edge profiles: seamed edges (safety grind for concealed installations), flat polished edges (smooth and transparent for tabletops and shelves), pencil polished edges (rounded profile for shower glass and exposed edges), beveled edges (angled decorative cut in widths up to 2 inches), and ogee edges (S-curve decorative profile for furniture and display pieces). We cut tempered glass tops for dining tables, coffee tables, end tables, nightstands, and desk protectors in any shape -- rectangular, round, oval, racetrack, or freeform. Edge options include flat polished for a clean modern look, beveled for a decorative profile, or pencil polished for a soft rounded edge. We offer clear, low-iron ultra-clear, tinted, and frosted finishes. All tabletop glass is tempered for safety as required by code.

We offer both pickup from our Arlington facility and professional delivery throughout Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland. For larger or fragile pieces, we recommend our delivery service as we transport custom glass in padded A-frame racks to prevent damage during transit. Delivery is scheduled at a time that works for you, and our team will bring the glass to your door or job site.
