Why Our Hardware

Premium Hardware, Professional Installation

The hardware is what holds your shower door together -- literally. We never compromise on quality, and neither should you.

Premium CR Laurence Hardware

We use CR Laurence (CRL) hardware -- the industry gold standard for glass shower doors.

7 Finish Options

Chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, oil-rubbed bronze, polished brass, satin brass, and gun metal. We match your existing bathroom fixtures perfectly.

Professional Installation

Every piece of hardware is installed with precision tools, proper torque settings, and rubber gaskets to protect the glass. No shortcuts, no DIY risks.

Built to Last 20+ Years

Solid brass and stainless steel hardware resists corrosion, pitting, and finish degradation in wet bathroom environments for decades of daily use.

Complete Hardware Systems

Hinges, handles, clamps, support bars, U-channels, and seals -- all available in matching finishes from a single source for a unified, designer look.

Hardware Replacement Service

Worn or outdated hardware? We can often replace hinges, handles, and seals without removing or replacing the glass itself. Refresh your shower for less.

Hardware Categories

Hinges are the primary mechanism that allows a shower door to swing open and closed. They bear the full weight of the glass panel and must be engineered for decades of daily use in a wet environment.

Wall-Mount Hinges

Attach the glass door directly to the wall. Two or three hinges per door, depending on glass weight. The most common configuration for frameless shower doors.

Glass-to-Glass Hinges

Connect a swinging door panel to a fixed glass panel without a wall mount. Used in multi-panel frameless enclosures where the door hinges off an adjacent fixed panel.

Pivot Hinges

Mount at the top and bottom of the glass rather than on the side. Allow the door to swing both inward and outward. Create the cleanest look with no visible side hardware.

Continuous Hinges

A full-length hinge that runs the entire height of the door. Distributes weight evenly and eliminates stress points. Premium option for heavy 1/2-inch glass panels.

Materials

Solid brass (most common), stainless steel (structural applications)

Available Finishes

Chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, oil-rubbed bronze, polished brass, satin brass, gun metal

Design Guide

How to Match Hardware to Your Bathroom

The right hardware finish ties your entire bathroom together. Follow these rules for a polished, designer result.

Start With Your Faucet

Your faucet is the most prominent metal fixture. Match your shower hardware to this finish first.

Coordinate Secondary Fixtures

Towel bars, robe hooks, toilet paper holders, and cabinet hardware are next. Matching all of these to your shower hardware creates a cohesive, intentional.

The Two-Finish Maximum Rule

Limit your bathroom to no more than two metal finishes. Distribute them intentionally -- for example, matte black for structural elements and satin brass.

Consider Your Lighting

Light fixture finishes and color temperature affect how hardware reads. Warm lighting (2700K-3000K) enhances brass and gold tones.

Materials

What Quality Hardware Is Made Of

Not all shower door hardware is created equal. Material quality directly determines how long your hardware lasts and how well it performs in a wet environment.

Solid Brass

The gold standard for shower door hinges, handles, and clamps. Solid brass is naturally corrosion-resistant, accepts decorative plating beautifully, and maintains its structural integrity for 20+ years in wet environments. Heavier than zinc alloy alternatives, brass hardware feels substantial and premium.

Used for: Hinges, handles, clamps, knobs

304 Stainless Steel

Used for structural components like support bars, header channels, and U-channels where maximum rigidity and strength are required. 304 stainless steel is our standard. For coastal properties where salt air accelerates corrosion, we offer 316 marine-grade stainless.

Used for: Support bars, headers, channels

Extruded Aluminum

Used for U-channels, tracks, and frame components. Aluminum is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and easy to machine into precise profiles. Anodized or powder-coated aluminum accepts all standard hardware finishes and is the material of choice for bottom and wall channels.

Used for: U-channels, tracks, thresholds

Care & Maintenance

Keep Your Hardware Looking New

Premium hardware lasts for decades with minimal care. Follow these simple maintenance practices.

Wipe Hardware After Each Shower

A quick wipe with a dry cloth removes water droplets that cause mineral deposits and water spots. This alone prevents 90% of finish issues.

Clean With Mild Soap Monthly

Use warm water and a few drops of dish soap. Never use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or acidic products like vinegar directly on hardware finishes -- they can damage plating.

Check Hinge Screws Quarterly

Vibration from daily use can gradually loosen screws. A quarter-turn tightening every 3 months prevents door sagging and glass stress. Use a standard Phillips screwdriver.

Replace Sweep Seals as Needed

Sweep seals are consumable components designed to be replaced. If your seal is stiff, cracked, or no longer makes full contact with the threshold, it is time for a replacement.

Lubricate Pivot Points Annually

Apply a small drop of silicone-based lubricant to hinge pins once per year. This keeps the door swinging smoothly and prevents metal-on-metal wear.

Avoid Hanging Heavy Items

Towel bar handles are rated for typical towel weight. Do not hang heavy bags, wet robes, or children from towel bars -- this stresses the through-glass mounting and can crack the glass.
