Replacement Options

Glass Table Replacement for Every Style

Custom-cut replacement glass for any table -- dining, coffee, patio, desk, or specialty furniture.

Dining Table Glass

Most Requested

Rectangular, oval, or round dining table glass cut to your exact dimensions. We use 3/8" or 1/2" tempered glass rated for daily use -- resistant to heat, impacts, and scratches from dishes and utensils.

Coffee Table Glass

Coffee tables take a beating from everyday use. We replace broken tops with 1/4" tempered glass in clear, frosted, tinted, or ultra-clear (low-iron) options to match your decor.

Patio Table Glass

Outdoor glass tabletops face UV, temperature swings, and weather exposure. We use tempered glass rated for outdoor environments that resists thermal shock from hot dishes and cold beverages.

Glass Desk Tops

Home office and executive desk glass tops in clear or frosted. We add polished or beveled edges for a finished look and round corners for safety.

Custom Shapes and Edges

Custom Available

Round, oval, hexagonal, free-form, or cut to match an existing base. We offer flat polish, pencil polish, beveled, and ogee edge finishes for any aesthetic.

Safe Cleanup and Disposal

Shattered tempered glass produces thousands of small cubes. We safely clean up all debris, vacuum the area thoroughly, and dispose of the broken glass so you do not risk injury.

Glass Selection

Choose the Right Glass for Your Table

Every glass type we offer is tempered for safety. The choice comes down to appearance and application.

Clear Tempered Glass

Best for most tables

The most popular choice for tabletops. Standard green tint visible at edges on thicker pieces.

Low-Iron (Ultra-Clear)

Premium look

Eliminates the green tint visible at edges on standard glass. Crystal-clear appearance ideal for thick tabletops.

Frosted Glass

Desks and modern furniture

Acid-etched finish for a translucent, matte appearance. Hides fingerprints and scratches better than clear glass.

Tinted Glass

Design-forward interiors

Available in gray, bronze, and blue tints. Adds a subtle color tone while maintaining tempered safety characteristics.

Thickness Guide by Application

Dining table
3/8" or 1/2" (10-12mm)
Depends on span width and whether the glass rests on a full base or perimeter frame
Patio table
1/4" to 3/8"
Tempered glass rated for outdoor thermal stress is essential
Large desk surface
3/8" (10mm)
Supports monitors, keyboards, and daily use without flexing
Safety First

What to Do When Your Glass Table Shatters

Keep Everyone Away

Shattered tempered glass scatters small cubes over a wide area. Keep children and pets out of the room until the debris is professionally cleaned. Glass cubes can hide in carpet fibers and upholstery for weeks.

Tempered Glass Is Required

Building codes and safety standards require tabletops to be tempered glass. Tempered glass is 4x stronger than annealed and breaks into blunt cubes instead of sharp, dangerous shards.

Thickness Matters

Coffee tables typically need 1/4" glass. Dining tables need 3/8" or 1/2" depending on the span and whether the glass rests on a full base or perimeter-only support.

Affordable Replacement

Custom glass tabletops are significantly more affordable than replacing the entire table or furniture piece. Contact us for a free quote based on your specific dimensions.

FAQ

Glass Table Replacement Questions

Why did my glass table shatter spontaneously?
Tempered glass can occasionally shatter without visible impact -- a phenomenon caused by nickel sulfide inclusions (tiny impurities) that expand over time. Temperature changes, edge damage from moving the table, or a small chip from years ago can also trigger spontaneous breakage. It is not your fault, and it is not uncommon.
Can I bring my own measurements?
Absolutely. Measure the length and width (or diameter for round tables) to the nearest 1/8 inch, and note the current glass thickness. If you still have the table base, we can also send a technician to template the shape directly -- especially important for non-rectangular tables.
How long does a custom glass tabletop take?
Standard rectangular or round shapes in common sizes can often be cut same-day. Custom shapes, special edge treatments, or low-iron glass may take 2-5 business days for fabrication. We will give you an exact timeline when you call.
Is tempered glass required for tabletops?
Yes. Building codes and safety standards require tabletops to be tempered glass. Tempered glass is 4x stronger than annealed glass and breaks into blunt cubes instead of dangerous sharp shards. We only install tempered glass for tabletop applications.
Can you match an unusual shape from my existing table base?
Yes. We can template from your existing base, from a paper pattern, or from a digital file. We handle circles, ovals, hexagons, rounded rectangles, free-form shapes, and cutouts for umbrella holes or hardware.
Do you deliver and install, or do I pick it up?
Both options are available. For large or heavy tabletops, we recommend delivery and installation to avoid damage during transport. Our technicians set the glass on your base, verify the fit, and apply any necessary bumpers or pads.
